For the attention of the owner/occupier

Dear Neighbour,

Congleton Link Road – Notice of sheet piling works

As the Principal Contractor working with Cheshire East Council on the Congleton Link Road project, we would like to inform you we will be undertaking critical sheet piling works to enable the construction of the new mainline under the new Chelford Road overbridge.

The sheet piling operation involves installing 320m linear of permanent sheet piles around the Chelford Road structure. The sheet piles are required to act as a barrier to prevent water entering the works area due to the high-water table in this area.

The 9m to 16m long piles will be vibro-driven into place with a piling rig and vibro-hammer. This is an operation that causes both noise and vibration which means some disturbance is unavoidable. We will be carrying out noise and vibration monitoring during the period of these works.
